Going to the Eiffel Tower was a dream ever since we had landed in Paris. So, when the first weekend of our internship came about, there was absolutely no doubt in anyone's mind where we were going ....
Mittal, Maru, DJ and Pandey got up early and were ready to leave by 10 on a Saturday morning, looked up the Paris train map and after changing one train, reached the Champs de Mars station. All enthu to go to the Eiffel Tower, when Pande realized that he needed to got to a restroom. We waited outside the station for Pande deciding whether or not to ditch him when it happened ...
Suddenly, we heard some familiar voices and for 3 people who were waiting for "Pande".. it was a very pleasant surprise to see Gangal coming out of the station. A very unexpected and unplanned meeting to say the least .. provided that neither of us had any contact numbers and none of us knew each other's plans. Even though Gangal came with Prakhar, we were very happy to have met this way and went on to enjoy our first day visiting Paris together. After the Eiffel Tower, we went on to see Arc de Triumph and walked down the Champs Elysees to the Louvre museum. Pics for the day up at http://picasaweb.google.com/avinmittal/Paris_5thMay.
At the end of the day we made our plans for the next day and decided on a time and venue to meet, missed each other by some 10 or so minutes, and even though traced the same route throughout the day, couldn't find each other. Surprising isn't it ?
